Mastering Modern Self Defence: A Glimpse into the MMA World As we dive into the world of mixed martial arts (MMA), it’s essential to acknowledge how this dynamic discipline is reshaping the understanding and approach to self-defence today. Modern self-defence includes more than moving your body effectively in reaction to an attack; it’s about building awareness, confidence, and equipping yourself with a rich set of skills that apply across various life contexts. A recent video on the MMAShredded YouTube channel provides a compelling example of this transformation. Breanne, a famous fashion model, demonstrates these principles as she transitions into the abrasive yet disciplined world of MMA. Breanne, whose modeling career has been marked by glamour and high fashion, breaks the stereotypes and steps into the MMA ring in NYC. In an era where self-empowerment and resilience are turning into prerequisites for survival, her journey signifies how the ancient art has evolved to meet modern needs. While it’s a short 42-second clip, it speaks volumes about the shift in societal norms and expectation – of strength, independence, and empowerment. However, one must remember that in learning and mastering MMA, proficiency is not acquired overnight — it necessitates dedication, commitment, and a steadfast desire to learn. This principle holds particularly true in the world of modern self-defence. Breanne is not deemed a “KILLER” in the often-sensationalized, violent sense of the word, rather, it signifies her elevated skill level and prowess as an MMA practitioner. The absorption of MMA into mainstream self-defence practices demonstrates a shift in focus from brute strength to strategy and control. Understanding this concept and putting it into practice enables individuals to navigate through threatening situations with clarity of mind and calculated technique. Breanne’s case underscores the significance of MMA not only as a means of self-defence but also as a tool for personal development and empowerment. With over 68,352 views, the video serves as an inspiration to many, especially women, aiming to empower themselves through MMA. It sends a potent message that anyone, regardless of gender or background, can embrace this form of self-defence. Jeff Chan, the creator of the channel, passionately encourages people in NYC looking for private MMA sessions to reach out. It is therefore safe to conclude that modern MMA-based self-defence thrives on continuous learning, building physical and emotional resilience, and fostering an “I can” mentality among practitioners. Being able to defend oneself transcends the physical realm – it’s about gaining control, establishing boundaries, and standing your ground. To sum it up, self-defence today is no longer about raw, unguided power. It’s about strategic execution, intuitive understanding of your surroundings, and confidence in your capabilities. Breanne’s shift from the glamourous world of fashion into the disciplined realm of MMA not only showcases her skills but also sheds light on the evolving essence of modern self-defence. Through their efforts, Jeff Chan and the MMAShredded community are indeed making a difference, equipping individuals with life-saving skills and contributing to a more confident and resilient society.

Modern Self-defence: A Journey of Empowerment To quote Chan, the brain behind MMAShredded, “If you’re in NYC and looking for private sessions, you know where to find us.” From a broader perspective, this isn’t just about MMA training; it symbolizes a gesture for those yearning for empowerment and change. So, if you’re looking to break societal norms, empower yourself, or merely seeking to develop resilience, the world of MMA awaits you – Here’s to your journey towards enlightenment and empowerment.

  1. I am not that person who comments only to tell you that your form is bad or something but I noticed something that I used to do in boxing. I always forgot my right leg and it lagged behind when throwing a cross which caused my footsteps to be out of sync or my right hand to not be as powerful. Please don't mind this comment I admit that I don't know the full context plus you might have already noticed it. Just wanted to mention

  2. She moves pretty good, I'm impressed toward the end she threw a 2-3-2 then after the last 2 she did like a drop step with a weight shift kinda like how tyson did before to move in on opponents.

  3. Majority of women to do Muay Thai, do it just for exercise. It's another way for women to try and compete with men. Going back, barley any women did Muay Thai, now a lot more are doing it, and it's turning into a fad.
